EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE

Marion County Job & Family Services manages an emergency assistance program also known as the PRC Program (Prevention, Retention, and Contingency). PRC is designed to provide benefits and services to low-income families who have experienced a temporary setback or unexpected crisis. PRC programs vary between counties, are based on community needs, and are dependent upon available funding.

To be eligible for the PRC program, a family must meet certain income guidelines and must include a child under the age of 18 who resides with a parent, specified relative, legal guardian, or legal custodian.

  • Vehicle Insurance
  • Work Boots, Uniforms, etc.

  • Shelter Assistance (rent or deposit or mortgage payment)
  • Utility Assistance

In addition to completing a PRC Application, you will be asked to provide proof of household income, expenses and other necessary information. If you need help getting any documents please notify the agency. Please write your name and case number (if available) on your documents.
