MARION COUNTY JOB & FAMILY SERVICES - OHIO

Notice is hereby given that the Marion County Job & Family Services, an equal opportunity affirmative action contractor, is soliciting bids from interested businesses and intends to enter into a contractual agreement with the selected provider to furnish the best Non-Emergency Transportation (NET) Services, for both Inside Marion County and Outside of Marion County, at the lowest cost for the period beginning July 01, 2019 and ending June 30, 2020.  MCJFS shall have the option, upon thirty (30) days written notice, to renew this agreement through June 30, 2021, based on successful performance outcomes from the current agreement period, proposed program priorities and the availability of funds for the projected year.  The total amount to be paid for the renewal period, July 01, 2020 through June 30, 2021 will allow for either an increase based upon the consumer price index or three percent (3%), whichever is less.

 

Bids will be received by the Office of the Board of Marion County Commissioners, 222 West Center Street, Marion, Ohio 43302, until 9:15 a.m., Thursday, June 06, 2019, and will be opened immediately thereafter and publicly read aloud, no exceptions.

This legal notice shall appear in the Marion Star on May 23, 2019.

 

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check, cashiers check or letter of credit in an amount of $250.00, conditioned that the bidder shall, if the bid is awarded, execute a contract to conformity with invitation and their bid, as required by ORC 307.88.

 

No bidder may withdraw their bid within 90 days from the actual date of opening except if the price of the bid was substantially lower than other bids as a result of clerical error and the bidder notified Marion County Job & Family Services of this fact within two (2) days after the bids are opened.  Marion County Job & Family Services has the authority to determine if a bidder can withdraw their bid.

 

Any contract awarded pursuant to this advertisement shall be awarded to the best and lowest bidder.  The bidder and Job & Family Services shall not discriminate on the basis of disability and shall agree to abide by all provisions relating to the Americans with Disabilities Act.

 

The Board of Marion County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids submitted and waive irregularities and/or technicalities.
